What’s On has details about the new al fresco food festival, featuring celebrity chefs Eric Lanlard and Valentine Warner, at the du Arena.


The second edition of the outdoor food festival Taste of Abu Dhabi will take place on November 5 to 7 at the du Arena.

Headliners for the event include TV alums such as French pastry chef Eric Lanlard, British chef and host of BBC Two’s What to Eat Now Valentine Warner, as well as Arab TV chef and personality Suzanne Husseini.

They will be joined by the Sussex duo Steven Edwards and Joshua Stanzl. Edwards, who is best known for winning the cooking competition MasterChef: The Professionals, will be accompanied by his business partner and fellow chef Stanzl at the event.

There will be 25 restaurants participating in the festival, serving up bite-size versions of their well-known dishes from special stands set up in the venue. New outlets participating in the three-day food festival include Atayeb, Barocco, BOA, Prego’s, Royal Orchid Restaurant, Teatro and Zambar.

In addition to the food sampling, there will also be cooking demonstrations at the Chef’s Theatre and Cookery School, a cheese and grape feature, Kids Zone and live music. Musicians confirmed to perform include the South African ensemble 4THEMUSIC and quartet The Maple Jacks.
