Abu Dhabi is getting a giant aquarium. The facility will be the largest aquarium in the Emirate when it is completed at 5,000 square metres, and it will be part of a new luxury development being built in Al Maqta.

The Dhs850 million project called Al Qana will also feature a 98 berth marina suitable for mini yachts, cafes and restaurants, as well as low-rise furnished apartments that will be available for rent. It will be built on 2.8 kilometres of land.

To be built along the Al Maqta canal, the space will feature epic views of Sheikh Zayed Mosque and span 150,000 square metres in total.
