Triathletes in training can get fit for free thanks to a new seven-days-a-week exercise schedule being held in honour of TriYas by Daman’s ActiveLife.

For athletes participating in TriYas on February 17 next year, you can get extra training in with free fitness sessions that include cycling, running and swimming here in the capital.

On Sundays, head to the Yas Marina Circuit from 6pm to 10pm for cycling and running. Mondays the NYU Abu Dhabi 50m Olympic-size pool is available for swimmers from 7am to 8am, while the track at the university opens for runners from 7am to 10am.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays will see athletes back at the F1 track for TrainYas and the female-only GoYas from 6pm to 9pm. While Thursdays you can join a running session organised by the Abu Dhabi Striders from 5am to 6.15am in Khalifa City A.

During the weekend, Friday is reserved for cycling along the Al Wathba track while on Saturday, running club Abu Dhabi Striders hosts intervals from the Yas Plaza hotels from 5.30am to 7.30am. There’s also swimming sessions at NYU Abu Dhabi from 8am to 9am and noon to 1pm, as well as track running from 8am to 10am.

New participants to the event can also check out the seven-week first timer training programme provided by Haddins Fitness, however this programme is chargeable.
