New event at Mina art hub will have workshops, film screenings and more…

Looking to buy some art on the cheap? Head over to Warehouse421 this week for a new initiative that sees local and international galleries take over the industrial space in Mina Port.
Galleries Week, hosted in partnership with Abu Dhabi Art, will feature works from up-and-coming talents from six galleries, including the Abu Dhabi-based space Salwa Zeidan, Dubai venues Cuadro Fine Arts and ElMarsa, as well as Athr and Hafez Gallery from Jeddah and Galleria Continua, who have locations in Italy, France, China and Cuba.

Aimed at first-time buyers looking to start their own personal art collections, prices start from Dhs2,000 and up. “Warehouse421 is giving galleries the chance to connect with new art buyers in the UAE,” explains Faisal Al Hassan of Warehouse421. “We are proud to host a week of events that will educate first-time collectors and inspire art collecting.”
The space will also host workshops, film screenings and talks. Highlights of the programme include special family workshops and a young designers market, as well as the film screening Lights Of Rome on April 19, about the 1989 UAE national football team.
