Try a yoga session with singing bowls
Yes, you read that right, singing bowls, and they’re Tibetan ones as well. Let’s Go Yoga is hosting a yoga and singing bowls workshop tonight – a series of breathing exercises and stretches that are performed while you listen to the gentle, humming vibrations from the metallic bowls. The deep thrumming, combined with yoga moves, is said to free toxins, improve blood flow, reduce anxiety and boost mental clarity. It’s the first time such a workshop has been held in the capital.

#MoveThisRamadan at the Four Seasons
The Four Seasons is hosting free fitness classes for those of you wanting to exercise during the Holy Month. The 45-minute #MoveThisRamadan sessions take place every Thursday evening.
It’s a full-body stretching class aiming to improve flexibility and detoxify.

Quesadillas and more at the Mercadito evening brunch

Mexican eatery Amerigos on Yas Island also has an evening brunch that is running throughout the whole of Ramadan. The Mercadito features quesadilla, chicken taquitos dorados, steaks and sides such as corn on the cob.

New dishes and platters at Hoi An

Vietnamese outlet Hoi An has a new menu. Starters on offer include green papaya salad and grilled cuttlefish satay, and a tasting platter featuring seafood spring roll, beef sausage, lobster ravioli and chicken and shrimp rice paper. Pho bo soup also makes an appearance, as do mains such as grilled lemongrass chicken. Finally, there’s chilled mango soup or sago pearls with pumpkin for dessert.

Hang about at a swing yoga class

Using a silk-wrapped sheet suspended from a ceiling, yogis are guided through a series of postures, supported by a swing, which can be used as extra support for the joints. It helps with alignment and takes some of the body weight while supporting more advanced poses such as backbends and inversions for more experienced yogis. It’s a ladies only class.

Visit the Ramadan and Eid festival

Head to Adnec to take in some shopping (think traditional Arabic dresses and jewellery), Arabic food, toys and games at this annual exhibition celebrating the Holy Month. Some 500 vendors have taken part in previous years and it’s the perfect way to learn more about this important time of the year.
