Perfect your swing at a golf event

The annual Golf Digest Middle East Amateur Golf Series is back, and it opens today at the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club. The winners of the respective men’s A (0-10 handicap), B (11-24 max) and women’s divisions will automatically qualify for the 11th Golf Digest Middle East Classic, which will take place at Emirates Golf Club on October 16 – and there are some great prizes up for grabs. A’l Bahar at the Corniche is hosting a family-friendly beach bash this weekend, with interactive performances, games and food stalls. There will be roaming acrobats, capoeira performers, stilt walkers, live musicians and DJs, as well as plenty of activities for little ones. It’s free entry to the beach festival, but rides, games and craft activities are charged separately.

Hit up an after-dark party at Bounce

Trampoline park Bounce is having a ‘Hip Hop Hooray’ night, complete with glow-in-the-dark props and paint, UV lights, neon colours, and pumping hip hop beats. The event is open to both guys and girls aged 14 and above, with one hour of bouncing starting from Dhs85.

Head along to Abu Dhabi Hopfest

Abu Dhabi Hopfest is back at Abu Dhabi Golf Club this weekend. The celebrations include more than 25 top hops from around the world, live music, food, and exciting games for the whole family. Tickets cost Dhs99, or Dhs89 if you’re a club member, and that includes one drink and something to eat. There’s free parking, too.

Book a table at a newly returned brunch

Top Japanese restaurant Zuma is relaunching its Friday brunch today. You’ll be able to do the rounds of Zuma’s famous sushi and robata counters, as well as a range of signature dishes served to order. Packages start from Dhs362 including soft drinks, while children aged four to 12 can eat for Dhs158.

Party at Yas Waterworld

It’s the Neon Nights closing party at Yas Waterworld tonight, and some world-renowned international DJs will be there to close the season in style, including Sigma, Philip George and The Menendez Brothers from Ministry of Sound.
