It’s a mega month ahead…

As we say goodbye to October in the capital, we celebrate a brand new month, and heaps of things to do.

From celebrating the first anniversary of The Louvre with a superstar performer to the 10th anniversary of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, we’ve rounded up five unmissable events happening across the city this November.

November 8 to 10: Dine around the world without leaving Abu Dhabi

Taste of Abu Dhabi returns on November 8 for three days of drinking dining and live entertainment. Taking place at the du Arena, Yas Island, highlights include appearances from celebrity chefs Gary Rhodes and Eric Lanlard, a live performance from Girls Aloud alum Nadine Coyle and a ‘bake off’ competition with Dhs25,000 up for grabs.

British pop star Dua Lipa will headline a series of events at the Louvre Abu Dhabi to celebrate the art museum’s one-year anniversary. The One Kiss singer, who performed at du Forum on Yas Island in February, will take to the stage at the Louvre Abu Dhabi’s concert village on Sunday, November 11. Tickets are Dhs200 with free entry to the museum from 2pm to 6pm. The doors of the concert village will open from 6pm with DJ sets before the show. The one-year anniversary celebrations will take place from November 8 to 11, with concerts, exhibitions, family activities and workshops.

From November 22: Tuck in at three new dining destinations

Just in time for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Yas Island is set to welcome three brand new openings. And if you’ve dined or partied in Dubai, you’ve probably heard of two of them. Dubai’s British gastropub The Scene and popular party spot Mr Miyagi’s are both set to open their doors in Yas Marina, alongside a new concept called Casa De Cuba. All three spots will open on Thursday November 22, just in time for the first day of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix festivities.

November 22 to 25: Head to Yas Island for some racing action

It’s the 10th year of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this year, and it’s tipped to be the biggest yet. Although Lewis Hamilton has already secured his fifth Championship title with two races to go, there will still be plenty of action both on and off the track with brunches, concerts and after parties galore taking place across the four day festivities. A number of tickets and packages have already sold out, so be sure to get your tickets before it’s too late.
