It’s a favourite among Dubai’s breakfast crowd…

Since opening in 2015, The Surf Cafe on Jumeirah Beach Road has become one of Dubai’s hippest hangouts. And they’ve brought their sea salt chic vibes and excellent breakfasts to Abu Dhabi, with a branch now open in The Mall at World Trade Center.

Don’t be fooled – despite the name, it’s not just a cafe. The Surf Cafe is actually a full-on restaurant, with a menu boasting traditional Japanese dishes, vegan and gluten-free options, and healthy offerings such as poke bowls, acai, seafood and salads, alongside a selection of cold-pressed juices, specialty coffees and almost-guilt-free treats.

“We are known for our laidback atmosphere, high quality and hand-crafted healthy, yet diverse dishes from around the world, and so we look forward to bringing the best of The Surf Cafe to the capital,” said Surf Cafe founder Claudio Leenders.

The Surf Cafe isn’t the only new arrival at The Mall – at the other end of the foodie spectrum is Sugar Factory, the celeb-favourite brasserie which shamelessly appeals to your sweet tooth.

Another naughty favourite, all-day diner Pancake House, has also recently opened there, serving up classics like fried chicken, tacos and spaghetti, as well as their famously fluffy pancakes.
