RedFest DXB have pulled off a brilliant late coup for pop fans after announcing that Rita Ora has been added to the line-up for day two of the festival later this month.

The British singer will perform alongside The Lumineers, John Newman, Naughty Boy and A-Yo! (also known as Mark Ronson and Zane Lowe) at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Friday February 14.

The announcement comes just days after Jessie J stepped into the Ke$ha-shaped hole that was left by the American being forced to stay in the United States after entering rehab.

Rita Ora shot to fame in 2012 with her self-titled debut album – which subsequently went platinum – and went on to achieve more number one singles that year than any other artist. She was also nominated for three BRIT awards in 2013.

She has since worked alongside the likes of Drake, Snoop Dogg and Coldplay while performing at leading festivals around the world including Wireless, Lovebox, T in the Park and Jay-Z’s Made In America.

Last year also saw the 23-year-old, who is dating DJ superstar Calvin Harris, pick up a Best International Artist nomination in the USA, while her own sell out UK Radioactive tour kept fans in her homeland more than happy. Rita has also made her Hollywood debut with a cameo appearance in The Fast and Furious 6.

Speaking recently, she said: ‘I can’t believe how lucky I’ve been. I’m so grateful for all the opportunities I have had and I am so excited about the new album and the future.’

Tinie Tempah,  Conor Maynard and ex-JLS, turned DJ Marvin Hulmes also feature at RedFest DXB. Tickets start from Dhs299 for single day tickets and Dhs449 for the two-day weekend.
