What’s On reveals the 2015 dates of two of the biggest music events in Dubai. Find out about Blended and RedFest DXB, which take place in Dubai Media City.

This year’s RedFestDXB saw rapper Tinie Tempah, singer Jessie J and pop’s hottest property Rita Ora perform for thousands at Dubai’s Media City Amphitheatre.

Now fans can look forward to another star-studded show, as What’s On reveals the two-day event will return on February 12 and 13 2015.

As if that wasn’t enough, Blended – which brought Aloe Blacc, Maverick Sabre, and husband and wife duo Elvis Costello and Diana Krall to Dubai back in May – will also be back on April 30 and May 1 next year, Done Events has confirmed.

Details of the line-ups are being kept under wraps, but the calibre of performers at this year’s events suggests that Dubai can expect to see more A-listers jetting in next year. Organisers Done Events, who brought the inaugural events to Dubai this year, say the 2015 shows will attract “the best international talent” to the UAE.

“We always felt that what Dubai and the region’s music scene was really lacking was a festival concept like we see in other parts of the wolrd; and the reception we had to both RedFestDXB and Blended was testament to this,” Thomas Ovenson, COO of Done Events.

“We had an amazing first season for both festivals in 2014 and we are extremely confident that year-on-year each will continue to attract the best international talent to Dubai, with thousands travelling from across the region and beyond to enjoy great live entertainment.”

Artists are expected to be announced after the summer.

While RedFestDXB was headlined by mainstream pop artists like Ora and Tinie Tempah, along with The Lumineers, John Newman and Naughty Boy, Blended was billed as a “chilled” version of a festival – with picnic areas, a boutique shopping village, and blues, soul and folk music.
