Book Munch Café
A quirky and unique literary-themed café that loves to do two things: eating and reading. One for the sweet-toothed, it boasts an impressive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, alongside a varying selection of books for all audiences, intended to be read with a nibble on the side. While it doesn’t have a regular book club, Book Munch hosts regular events for book lovers, including book signings, poetry slams and children’s reading groups.

Twit Book Club

A meeting point for book lovers and social media savvies that aims to rekindle a love for literature and the reading experience. Held on the third Saturday of every month, Twit Book Club use Twitter to ‘live-tweet’ meetings and encourage online discussion, handy for those who either don’t want to attend in person or have to be elsewhere. All books are fiction and in English. Past reads range from contemporary classics to new releases, and all nominations for books to be discussed are considered.

Kutub Bilarabi Book Club

A literary circle that focuses on works written by Arabic authors, all of which must have an English translation available. Meeting on the first Monday of every month, this club introduces members to a wide range of Arabic literature, and promotes diverse and open-minded discussion. It appeals to the culturally interested, and hopes to bring both Arab and non-Arab residents together in their appreciation for regional authors.

The Dubai Mall Book Club

Using the book paradise website Goodreads as a platform, The Dubai Mall Book Club meets on the last Monday of every month at a changing venue within the mall. The reading list focuses on newly published books and pop-culture, with choices selected from the top ten reading lists published by Kinokuniya Book Store in the mall. Those interested in attending should either enquire through the group’s Facebook page or via the Goodreads forum.
