As one of the world’s most iconic buildings, it seems only fitting that the Burj Al Arab lay it on thick for their upcoming birthday.

December will officially mark 15 years since the stunning structure first welcomed guests. The remainder of the year will see numerous celebations taking place, including a very special package for those who want to enjoy a stay, known as ‘best of the Burj’.

Packaging together some of the services usually reserved for VIP guests, those willing to spend Dhs5,999 will be able to enjoy a personal butler, Rolls-Royce Phantom pick-up, six-course dinner and signature spa experience.

And after all that you’ll have a luxurious suite with views out over the Gulf, spread across 170 square metres and two floors to go back to.

The dinner is officially titled ‘A Taste of Al Mahara’, and will encompass the very best of the hotel’s signature restaurant. Literally translated as ‘The Oyster Shell’, the dining spot is famed for it’s floor-to-ceiling aquarium inside. The massage, meanwhile, blends traditional Shiatsu, Thai, Swedish and Balinese techniques.

Burj Al Arab is no stranger to opulent offers. The famous helipad has played host to some of the most memorable sporting stunts the world has ever seen, from Roger Federer’s tennis match with Andre Agassi, to David Coulthard ‘doughnuting’ a Formula 1 car. And back in March, thanks to the Dubai Food Festival, it hosted a one-off special dinner to help raise funds for the ‘Eat and Feed’ initiative for the United Nations World Food Programme. A seat at the table cost Dhs10,000.

Then in April, it was announced that for a starting price of Dhs200,000, the landing spot would host weddings, with the bride and groom able to arrive at their lofty venue in an Italian twin engine Augusta 109.

And in May, kids package were announced, offering children a bespoke bed, bath wear, beach wear, private butler and personalised menus. Kids can make use of an in-suite PlayStation, 21” iMac and 24-carat gold iPad, and choose candy from the ‘Sweet Train’ brought direct to suites on a daily basis. The package is free of charge to parents booking a suite costing from Dhs7,000 a night.
