Do you dream of a career in the ‘biz’? Do the bright lights of Hollywood beckon? This year’s Dubai International Film Festival could be your chance to make your first foray into the film industry. DIFF has launched its annual search for staff to help to stage the biggest film festival in the Middle East, running December 10 to 17.

With roles up for grabs in everything from hospitality and marketing to registration and manning the red carpet, a stint at DIFF could prove to be a jumping off point for a whole host of careers in the film business.

“Those who have joined us in the past have received invaluable hands-on experience in their chosen field with many choosing to return for multiple editions,” says DIFF’s Mohammed Alhousani, the senior manager of HR and admin. “We very much look forward to welcoming the talented and enthusiastic teams who will help us deliver a fantastic festival.”

**Celebrating the first 10 years of DIFF**

Shreya Radia, who worked in the marketing and events department at DIFF 2013, said the experience left an “indelible” impression on her.

“It was such a great experience to be part of DIFF and contribute to the success of the festival,” she said. “I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to see how things work behind-the-scenes and I can truly say I learned something new every single day. The role I was allocated to undertake provided excellent experience and left an indelible impression on me whilst helping to progress my career.”

**Have you heard about the movie-themed hotel in Dubai?**

Hollywood heavyweights Martin Sheen, Cate Blanchett and Naomie Harris all walked the red carpet at last year’s festival, and the 2014 edition is expected to be a similarly star-studded affair.

To be a part of the team, applicants must be over 21, and UAE nationals or residents of the UAE. Register online by completing the festival job application on the DIFF website, or submit a CV to careers@filmfest.ae. All applicants must present a passport copy with a valid UAE visa.
