Al Serkal Avenue – Dubai’s vibrant creative district – is hosting the third edition of Quoz Arts Festival, and opening its doors to the community.

Running all day on November 8, the Quoz Arts Festival includes live art and public murals by local artists, as well as workshops, film screenings, and live music performances. If you feel like getting a deeper understanding of the art on display, Al Serkal galleries will be also hosting guided tours by gallery directors, as well one-on-one meetings with the artists.

One showcase not to be missed is the beautiful live tintype portrait demonstration, where exhibiting UAE-based artist and photographer Antoine Robertson will be on hand to talk to visitors about his photographic creation of positive images produced on metal plates.

Elsewhere, Carbon 12 is showcasing a solo show by Iranian American artist Sarah Rahbar, Gallery Isabelle van den Eyde hosts an exhibition of Mohammed Kazem, and Ayyam Gallery has a special installation within Al Serkal Avenue by Faisal Samra.

It’s not just about the art though. The Fridge will feature live musical performances from 5pm onwards and A4 Space will be host to Dubai International Film Festival short film screenings.

There is also the Good Vibes Market, a first-of-its-kind street food set-up. Expect food trucks, food carts and pop-up stands lining the streets for this launch operation for the gang behind the concept, which is aiming to bring together freshly cooked food prepared by passionate artisans throughout the city this season.
