It’s late, you’ve had one of those days at work, you can’t be bothered to cook. Pick up your phone and dial in your dinner. Use our helpful guide to Dubai’s top takeaways.

(Reminder: Restaurants deliver to some areas and not others, depending on the value of the order. We’ve given you the best guide, but check when you call to place your order)

Fuchsia

Superb food that really does taste as if it was made five minutes ago. The papaya salad (Dhs21) is a lovely crunchy starter, and their red and green curies (Dhs36) are excellent. When they ask if you want your food mild or hot, be warned that, in their world, ‘hot’ means really hot.

Where do they deliver? JLT, Marina, Jumeirah, Emirates Hills, Tecom, Greens.

Lemongrass

This is reliably tasty Thai food with an emphasis on fish. Gorge yourself on their tasty spring rolls (Dhs28) before tucking into the pla samunprai: grilled red snapper in tamarind sauce (Dhs66).

Where do they deliver? Greens, Internet City, Marina, JBR, JLT, Barsha, Bur Dubai.

Smiling BKK

A quirky Jumeirah spot serving no-frills Thai cuisine, from pad Thai (Dhs35) to tom yum soup (from Dhs27). It’s not particularly fancy or authentic, but it definitely hits the spot.

Where do they deliver? Jumeirah.

Thai Wok

Before donning aprons at Thai Wok, chefs Saing and Sanoi used to work at Four Seasons in Thailand, and their expertise shows. The huge assorted platter for five (Dhs140) is a real favourite.

Where do they deliver? Greens, Discovery Gardens, JLT, Marina, Emirates Hills, Jumeirah, JVC, JVT.
