From Hatta to Al Ain, rain has been pelting down across the more mountainous parts of the UAE since Thursday, and the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) expects it to continue this week.

Wadi areas have seen about 20.2 millimetres of rainfall over the last few days.

Those in Dubai have just felt increased humidity so far, and should see more clouds forming tonight. Tomorrow is expected to be hazy.

The NCMS have warned of thunder and rain clouds forming tonight over the east, north and west of the UAE. They say there will be further heavy rain and strong winds later today over Al Shuwaib, which is near Hatta and only 95 km from Dubai and 150 km from Abu Dhabi.

Be careful on the roads if you come across rain, we’ll keep you updated on whether there’s more to come.
