Sponsored ContentThe Beach opposite JBR is hosting a huge alcohol-free, all-night dance party this New Year’s Eve. From DJs to yoga, there’ll be something for both night owls and early birds. Here’s why it’s the place to be…

From 3pm on Thursday December 31 until 11am on Friday January 1, Dubai’s hippest sandy spot, The Beach opposite JBR, will be home to an all-night, alcohol-free dance party. There will be fireworks, yoga classes, fire breathers, LED dancers, live music and more. All for free!

The fireworks will go off around midnight, of course, but the festivities will kick off at 3pm, with chill-out music playing across the beach until 5pm.

As the sun sets from 5pm to 6pm there will be a free open-air Zumba session (a good way to witness the fitness in the last few moments of 2015), and from 6pm to 10pm a selection of top local DJs will set the mood with positive tunes.

There will be plenty of room to cut shapes too, with a large dancefloor set up right on the sand.

At 10pm international DJ and producer Pierre Ravan will get on the decks – here’s a bit of what you can expect from the mindful mixer:

Ravan will play throughout the night (with another set just after midnight until the wee hours of the morning), and he’ll be accompanied by a laser light show, dancers, firebreathers and more.

The pièce de résistance will be the fireworks, of course. In fact, this year the municipality has arranged a domino of fireworks throughout Dubai, they’ll start at Downtown and run along the coastline, with the grand finale at The Beach at around 12.15am.

But it doesn’t stop there…. If you’re keen to watch the sun rise over the ocean before getting really zen, there will be a guided meditation held at the event from 7am to 7.30am.

You can also sign up for a yoga session held by the fabulous folk at XDubai from 9.30am to 10.30am.

What a healthful and happy way to start 2016.
