You know how Zone B in Zabeel Park is currently closed? Well it’s about to be home to a grand themed garden that will light up at night and will boast a Porcelain Grand Sheikh Zayed Mosque made from 90,000 cups, plates and spoons.

Dubbed Dubai Garden Glow, the Dhs30 million project will open before Christmas, and will continue until the end of April 2016.

It promises to deliver ‘art’ by day and ‘glow’ by night: meaning there will be plenty to see during the day, but at night it will truly come alive, with the whole garden lighting up in many colours.

The attraction will also be home to a 12-metre model of the Burj Khalifa made using 330,000 small medicine bottles filled with coloured water. (We’re finding that one hard to envision to be honest, but we’re sure it will be epic.)

There will be plenty for kids at Dubai Garden Glow, including a talking tree, a place called panda paradise and even a dino camp.

There will also be live performances from artists and acrobats at the new garden, as well as a food street serving up dishes from around the world.

How cool?! An exact opening date hasn’t yet been announced, but we’ll let you know as soon as it is.

PS: Are we still thinking the Dubai Frame will open this month? It still looked fairly cladding-free when we drove past it yesterday.
