Our top pick of the movies out in cinemas this week is The Magnificent Seven, a remake of the 1960 classic set in the Wild West.

Here are all the new flicks you’ll be able to go see from today…

The Magnificent Seven

A macho posse of seven gun-slinging, horse-riding, gruff-looking men, each with their own special set of skills, gradually join forces to help a poor village against savage thieves in this remake of the classic Western.

The Light Between Oceans

Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander star as lighthouse keepers Tom and Isabel living off the coast of western Australia. After suffering a miscarriage, a newborn baby girl washes up on shore in a rowboat and the couple decide to raise the child as their own. Then, a couple of years later, Tom and Isabel meet their daughter’s biological mother Hannah (Rachel Weisz), who’s been grieving all this time. Needless to say, the emotions are intense – while filming this period drama, Fassbender and Vikander became a real-life couple.

The Possession Experiment

Brandon is passionate about all things supernatural and for his world theology class, he decides to explore the sinister world of exorcisms. When he and his classmate explore a multiple homicide, they realise it’s an exorcism gone terribly wrong. Obsessed with finding out what really happened, Brandon decides to offer himself as a vessel for demonic possession, with (obviously) frightening consequences.
