By this time next year we’ll all be able to look just that little bit more chic (well, us ladies will)…

If you’re into clothes with a Scandi-chic aesthetic you’ve probably heard of & Other Stories – it’s the sister shop to H&M, but really is the cooler younger sibling (and is also much more mature than its big sis). The good news is the store is coming to Dubai. The bad news? We have to wait until next year.

So what’s the Swedish brand all about? Think fashion-forward (but not cheap-looking) clothes that, while still at a treat-yourself price, won’t break the bank. Unfortunately, the price point is closer to COS than H&M (but the clothes do stand the test of time).

And sorry lads, the designs are currently for ladies only.

Like H&M, & Other Stories collaborates with fancy designers on affordable lines, including Sonia Rykiel, Rachel Antonoff and Rodarte.

The brand began in 2010 purely as a beauty concept, but it now sells accessories, sleepwear, frocks and shoes as well as makeup and pampering stuff. Basically, it stocks the lot.

So where will the Dubai store be? It’ll be smack bang in the middle of Dubai Mall (of course), and will be 890 square metres of shopping. It will open in Spring 2017 (so somewhere around April or May).

A picture speaks a thousand words, so here are some snaps of & Other Stories’ collections…
