Ah, there’s nothing more Irish than sitting outside with a pint of the black stuff, surrounded by palm trees in 50-degree weather. Wait…

The Irish Pubs Global Awards have named two of the UAE’s best-loved Irish hotspots in their Irish Pubs of the Year shortlist.

Where, you ask? The Irish Village in Al Garhoud and McGettigan’s Abu Dhabi.

The Irish Village went up against some stiff competition, including Jinty McGuinty’s in Glasgow, Kevin Barry’s in California and Jameson Distillery Pub in Cologne.

Let’s check out the winners:

IRISH VILLAGE

Ah, Irish Village. It’s a little far away for some of us, but well worth the trip if you decide to head down.

We can’t wait for the weather to cool down a bit so we can park ourselves outside with a cold beverage.
