Jumeirah 1 has a swanky new cap in its feather – in the form of a whitewashed luxury hotel…

The club has been open a while, and tomorrow Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai opens its doors on the Pearl Jumeirah.

The hotel has its own 450-metre-long private beach, and features 132 rooms (well, 117 rooms and 15 villas as well as 63 private residences for those of you who want to live there year-round).

Here’s the pool on one of the ‘ultimate villas’ – not shabby…

So what can we expect to find there?

The resort is on the Pearl Jumeira, reclaimed land in front of Jumeirah 1

Well, it all looks very ‘aspirational-beachy-music-video’ in style. The rooms in the hotel are all kitted out with white and pale blue decor (and mood lighting). The beachside villas have their own pools and terraces, as well as direct access to the beach.

The rooms have bespoke entertainment systems that means you’ll be able to play movies, music and read news throughout the resort on your own smartphone or table. There are also interactive TVs with more than 10,000 songs available, as well as the latest on-demand movies free of charge.

Apart from that 450-metre-long beach, there is a 15-metre lap pool, as well as a bubble pool.

Visitors will be able to visit the Nikki Spa or the Tone Gym, and there will also be a tennis court.

At the spa you’ll be able to book Anne Semonin massages from Dhs385 for 55 minutes (see the full massage menu here).

Cafe Nikki  features a hand drawn mural by UAE-based artist Lama Khatib Daniel – whose work can also be found in the hotel’s corridors.

There are five restaurants and lounges: Café Nikki is the all-day bistro; Soul Lounge will be about nibbles and drinks; Nikki Beach Dubai Restaurant & Beach Club will have globally-inspired fare in a beachside setting and Nikki Privé will be the place for a sundowner.

Opening later in 2017 is Key West, where you’ll find a blend of Floridian, Caribbean and Latin cuisine.

Here’s a tour around the lobby…

The hotel is just off of the coast of Jumeirah 1 (just a few minutes from the new Etihad Museum and Union Flag). We’ll let you know what we think of the restaurants and spa once we get a chance to check them out.
