Sponsored content: A five-star day on the water can actually be cheaper than a lunch on land (plus, we have a discount code for you)…

Remember that Uber-like site for yachts in Dubai? Well, booking a day out through them is even cheaper than your average Dubai brunch.

What many people don’t realise is that if you get a group together then a day out on a luxury boat in Dubai can cost from around Dhs33 per person per hour. That’s way cheaper than most brunches (and much cheaper than a beach and pool day at Dubai’s hotels).

So what can you do on a day out on a boat? Well, you can organise BBQs with the boat’s operators, or just self cater and bring your own snacks and drinks; you can sometimes organise jet skis and slides that jut out off the boat and there are also designated spots for swimming so that you can have a proper sea swim and jump off the boat (just be careful!).

There’s also a super easy way to book a boat too thanks to Charterclick – a new website that’s like ‘an Uber for yachts’. You just head to the site, select the date, time and length of trip you want to book. You’ll then be presented with a list of super-sleek boats, all complete with information such as how many people it can hold, and what facilities are on board (think water slides, showers, sun beds and sound systems).

Just pick the boat of your choice, pay, and voila — nothing more to do until it’s time to board.

WE HAVE A DISCOUNT CODE FOR YOU…

What’s On has teamed up with CharterClick to offer you guys a 5 per cent discount when booking your boat over the next month. Be sure to enter the promo code WHATSON17, valid until the end of April 2017.

Here are some different types of boats to book for different trips…

A fishing boat with modern equipment on boat that can cater for four different fishing techniques.
