Here are the new flicks you’ll be able to go see from today…

Our top pick of the movies out in cinemas this week is Despicable Me 3, the third film starring Gru and his minions.

Despicable Me 3

Whether you’re still Minion-mad or a little bit over the yellow critters, you’ve got to get excited about the return of Gru (Steve Carrell), the lovably grumpy reformed villain. In this, the third film in the franchise, Gru is reunited with his long lost brother Dru (also Carrell), who’s charming, handsome and has a full head of hair – everything Gru isn’t, basically. After their reunion, Dru tries to recruit Gru back into the villain business, for one last big heist.

The House

Comedy all stars Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler team up for this hilarious comedy, in which they play Scott and Kate, a happily married couple who decide to start running an illegal casino from their basement in order to pay for their daughter to go to college. The brilliant supporting cast also features the hilarious Jason Mantzoukas, Nick Kroll and Allison Tolman.

All Eyez On Me

This Tupac biopic has been a long time in the making, and they’ve really nailed the casting – Demetrius Shipp Jr. is the spitting image of the late, great rapper. The jury is still out on whether the film lives up to the life of the controversial star, but hip hop lovers will probably get a kick out of seeing some of their favourite 90s rappers brought to life.
