Flamingo Room will bring a slice of South African chic to Jumeirah…

From Galleria Mall to Outlet Village, it’s safe to say that Tashas Cafes are very popular in Dubai, and they’re known for their refined cafe food and achingly cool interiors.

Well, we have good news for fans: Flamingo Room by Tashas is opening in Jumeirah Al Naseem, and it’ll be welcoming diners from September (when exactly in September we’re not yet sure).

Flamingo Room will be the largest of the Tashas offerings in Dubai – with 200 seats. You’ll find it right next to the very popular Black Tap burger joint and the Tuscan spot Il Borro (meaning Jumeirah Al Naseem is becoming quite the foodie hotspot).

It will be “casual chic” according to the team, but it will also be licensed.

They will be serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, and menu items will range from a lobster benedict with toasted brioche to ribeye with coriander and a seafood pasta.

Decor-wise, expect lots of dusky pink and an aesthetic that’s both contemporary and a touch art deco.

Also, there will be a little design store in the cafe too – with wares from South African brand Collective by Charles Greig.

Here’s a glimpse of the kind of pieces you’ll find in the mini store:

“We want our Flamingo Room customers to feel comfortable and relaxed in a sophisticated environment, I always say, it’s like putting your feet up on an insanely expensive couch,” explained Natasha Sideris, aka Tasha.
