Best work trip ever?

Smart Dubai is proving just how committed it is to the happiness of its employees: the government initiative is sending 31 employees from various government departments to the Disney Training Institute in Orlando, Florida.

The employees, dubbed the ‘Hapiness Champions’, will take part in the Disney Institute’s customer service training course. It comes as part of Smart Dubai’s efforts to achieve the goals of its ‘Happiness Agenda’ and to further promote training and education.

The ‘Quality of Service’ course aims to educate participants on service quality, business insight and Disney customer experience practices. The week-long programme will run from September 9 to September 16.

Dr. Aisha Bint Butti Bin Bishr, Director General of the Smart Dubai Office (SDO), said: “We are committed to implementing programmes that will contribute effectively to achieving the goals of the Happiness Agenda. The initiative will further promote people’s happiness and influence them positively through the adoption of a scientific methodology based on several pillars, such as increased awareness and closer identification of people’s needs.”

She added that “the training will prepare participants to create the right environment for efficient customer service delivery in a proactive manner”.

The course is one of the Disney Institute’s specialised programmes devised to improve the quality and effectiveness of customer service. Activities the Happiness Champions will have to look forward to include discussions and debates, field experience and guest speakers.
