Two new bars (one’s filled with bicycles), two new nights, and a bartending competition…

This week it’s all about the bars. First up, the opening of a cyclebar (that’s a bar filled with bicycles), plus the celebration of a more traditional one. There’s a new comedy mashup night, as well as a circus-themed one, plus a new ladies’ night and the final of an experimental bartending competition. Cheers to the new week.

1. Sweat away the weekend at a new Cyclebar

The premium indoor cycling studio Cyclebar has just opened in City Walk. Featuring a funky boutique and a CycleTheatre that holds up to 55 bikes, its set in a state-of-the-art audio, video, and lighting studio that creates a high-octane experience for riders. There’s also a personal performance measuring system that measures the six key metrics of your daily performance and emails the result over after every ride to help track the progress of your fitness journey.

2. See some Dubomedy

Dubomedy teams up with Lucky Voice to bring you a new monthly night called “Dubomedy’s Comedy Game Show”. There will be improv’ comedy mashed up with classic TV game show segments, audience participation, jokes and prizes directed by Dubai comedian Mina Liccione. It’s Dhs50 for entry which comes with a free house drink, and happy hour runs until midnight. For those who fancy a sing song after, karaoke pods will also be available to book after the show ends.

3. Get ahead with your real estate

4. Get unlimited free drinks at this seafront ladies’ night

5. Head to the first ladies’ night at the brand new Lock Stock & Barrel

Wednesday September 13

6. Watch top barmen battle it out

A noted Scottish drinks brand will be hosting the final of the Experimental Bartender Competition this Wednesday at Le Cirque in DIFC, Dubai. Five of the region’s best bartenders will present their ideas to the public before the winner is crowned Most Experimental Bartender. The winner will then be sent to the global final in Scotland, to compete for the top prize. There will also be a special pairing menu alongside the cocktails created by Chef Wesley Berghoff.

7. Party at a new club night

Launching this Wednesday and continuing every Wednesday after, Black Tape is a new club night at Cirque le Soir. It promises music from Tim Kay and DJ Stylez as well as the usual show from the club’s rotating performers. The club is also welcoming the return of Boom Boom, one of their most popular show stars.

8. Celebrate 13 years of Trader Vic’s

Trader Vic’s is turning 13 years old, and celebrating with 13 nights of deals, entertainment and giveaways from September 13 to September 25.
