Public transport users, we’ve got good news for you…

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced seven new bus routes and improvements to another 24 routes, starting Tuesday.

The announcement is part of continued work to broaden and improve the public transport system in Dubai.

Of the seven new routes, two will be directly linked to the metro.

Routes F19A and F19B will service Business Bay, helping to connect the area with the metro. The service will run at 10-minute intervals every day except Friday.

The other five new routes include two regular city services and three express routes.

Route 25 will serve Al Qusais Industrial and Airport Terminal 2 via Damascus Street at 20-minute intervals.

Route 95 will go from Gold Souq Bus Station to Dubai Waterfront at Jebel Ali via Sheikh Khalifa Street. It will pass along Sheikh Zayed Road, Ibn Battuta and Jebel Ali before terminating at Jebel Ali Waterfront. The service will also be available on Fridays, and run hourly.

Express Route X02 goes from Al Ghubaiba Station to Satwa and back to Al Ghubaiba at 15-minute intervals.

Express Route X22 will serve Al Qusais Industrial and Al Nahda, and from there it heads to the Business Bay Metro Station, Dubai Mall and the Business Bay District. The service will run from Saturday to Thursday, only at 30-minute intervals.

Express Route X24 will run from Al Nahda 1 Station to Union Metro Station via Salah Uddin Street. The service will run at 15-minute intervals from Sunday to Thursday and 20-minute intervals on Saturday.
