They’re as cold as ice…
Winter may be coming, but we’re still feeling the heat. So what better to help us chill out than a trip to the spa?
Here are five cool spa treatments to help you chill out through a sweaty September…
01. Narikela massage
Where: Jiva Spa
How much: Dhs360 for 45 minutes
The main ingredient of this treatment is coconut oil, every healthy hipster’s favourite ingredient (aside from avocado). The massage is soothing and moisturising, and according to the spa’s ayurvedic principles, the overall effect is cooling on the body.

Using temperatures as low as -120 to -160° Celsius, guests wear little paper pants and stand in a tall chamber filled with cryogenically cooled air for three minutes. You can also try a ten-minute cryo glow facial that’ll see chilly air blasted on to your face in a bid to activate collagen production and boost elasticity.
