But as the foodie scene gets bigger and bigger, we’re seeing both old and new concepts bringing a fresh approach to dining in Dubai.

So here are three restaurants on our radar to check out this week (here are the three fresh places we pointed out last week).

Arjee Barjee: The licensed curry house on The Palm

Taking traditional flavours and dishes and combining a British twist; Arjee Bhajee has created a part British, part Indian menu at its licensed spot on The Palm. The menu boasts an array of traditional starters, home-style main courses such as Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and a fiery Vindaloo.

Asian 5: The second serving of healthy Asian street food

Asian5 has opened a second branch of its quick-fix healthy eating restaurant in DIFC’s Al Murooj complex. Serving up the same menu as it’s Dubai Airport restaurant, expect healthy Asian street food inspired by five different Asian cuisines: Thailand, China, Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia. They’ll be open until 3am for those who like a late night Asian street food snack, and will be available on delivery straight from the website.

The Secret Terrace: A hidden rooftop in Business Bay

Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay has just opened its doors to a brand new venue. The Secret Terrace has a chilled rooftop vibe in a small and intimate setting. More about the drink than food, there’s still a neat menu of Thai street-food small bites, pass-arounds and sharing platters. Going forward, there will be a weekly ladies’ night every Wednesday, offering unlimited drinks from 7pm to midnight for Dhs100.
