Heavy metal fans, have we got a treat for you…

If you’ve ever had even a passing interest in loud, abrasive music then you’ll know the name Sepultura. The legendary Brazilian band are one of the pioneers of the genre and they will be performing in Dubai on Wednesday 13 December at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Fans will be excited to see the band return to Dubai after an 11 year break (they last performed here at the 2005 Dubai Desert Rock festival alongside Machine Head and The Darkness), and can expect to hear a swath of songs from their massive discography of 14 studio albums.

Their latest record ‘Machine Messiah’ was released in January of this year to huge acclaim, with many critics calling it one of the band’s best ever. Not too bad for a group that’s been banging them out since 1984.

General admission tickets are Dhs200 and there is a limited ‘Sepulnation’ ticket package available for Dhs550 that will net you a meet and greet with the band as well as early entrance into the venue and a Dubai-edition tour t-shirt. Organisers have confirmed with What’s On that tickets will be available through Virgin Megastore soon.

Support on the evening will be provided by local metalheads Svengali, so you can expect a night of proper heavy music.

Not familiar with the band’s output? Check out their seminal 1996 hit ‘Roots Bloody Roots’ to get you in the mood. We recommend letting your hair down, strapping on a bandanna and turning it up LOUD.
