Get ready ’90s Brit pop fans, as a gig has just been announced that’s sure to ignite your ’90s nostalgia. As part of their 20-year celebration, ‘90s pop band Steps are bringing their anniversary tour to Dubai Opera.
The British five piece will perform a single-date gig at the Dubai Opera on April 27, with the venue transforming into a flat floor gig space for the occasion.
It’s the first time the British pop band, who rose to fame in the late 1990s, will be performing in the UAE. Gig goers can expect to enjoy the bands hits including covers of ‘Chain Reaction’ as well as their number ones ‘Tragedy’ and ‘Stomp’.
During their chart topping peak, the band enjoyed 14 consecutive top 5 hits in the UK as well as two number one albums. The band split after four years in 2001, reuniting for the first time in 2011 to produce a number one album as well as completing two multi date tours in 2011 and 2012.
To celebrate two decades in music, the band reunited once again in January 2017, releasing an album ‘Tears on the Dancefloor’ in April 2017 which peaked at Number 2 in the British charts.
They’ll be in Dubai as part of their 2018 Summer of Steps tour, with tickets on sale at 3pm today, with Dhs100 off tickets for Golden Circle, Regular Standing and Gold seating, until 5pm on December 31.
