Tuck into one of these hotspots as you see out 2017…

From wallet-friendly dinner deals perfect for pairs, to unique dining experiences you wouldn’t get anywhere else, we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to dining out in Dubai.

And if you’re looking for somewhere fresh to head to this weekend, we’ve rounded up three spots we reckon you won’t want to miss out on.

From the first licensed spot at La Mer, to a hidden Mediterranean gem where you can dine with your toes in the sand, to a Dubai classic that never lets us down, here are three restaurants to dine at this weekend.

The brand new: Masti

Two-storey modern Indian restaurant Masti has just opened in La Mer. It’s got an unlicensed restaurant and terrace on the ground floor, which is open all day, and a licensed lounge with outdoor seating upstairs, open from 5pm. The menu, created by award-winning chef Hari Nayak, includes the likes of black bass ceviche, a Masti take on a Peruvian classic, and bhatti merguez, a fusion of African and Indian flavours.

Masti, La Mer, Jumeirah 1, daily 12pm to 12am, lounge open from 5pm. Tel: (800) 62784. More info on website

The hidden gem: Summersault

The picturesque Jumeirah Al Naseem hotel is filled with some of Dubai’s most popular spots, from the oh-so-Instagrammable Black Tap, to the open-air Rockfish to the What’s On award-winning Il Borro. And we’re keen to add Summersault to that list. The beachfront spot may be known as a sunshine soaking up beach club, but it’s also a great option for an intimate dinner with a side dish of the Burj Al Arab. It’s got indoor, poolside terrace and beachfront seating, and a menu of Mediterranean dishes that include a swordfish carpaccio, Norwegian lobster and langoustine.

Summersault, Jumeirah Al Naseem, Madinat Jumeirah, daily 9am to 6pm and 7pm to 11.30pm. Tel: (04) 366 7680. More info on website

The old favourite: Jean-Georges

Tucked away in the restaurant village of the Four Seasons Jumeirah is Jean-Georges, the internationally-influenced menu by renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Inspired by the menu of the chef’s three Michelin star New York restaurant, the contemporary spot is a mix of cosy leather booths, a sleek bar, and a covered outdoor terrace decked in twinkly lights. But it’s the food we go back to again and again at Jean-Georges. From their twist on a tuna tartare that comes with a ginger marinade, to their mouth-melting wagyu beef tenderloin, it’s a fail safe option for all Dubai foodies.

Four Seasons Dubai, Jumeirah, daily 12pm to late. Tel: (04) 343 6118. More info on website.
