If you’re tired of shopping in the same place all the time, we know what you need. From the weekly grocery shop to fashion, art or interiors, there are plenty of al fresco markets across the city to bag a bargain at.

Here are five must-visit outdoor markets in Dubai.

Market Outside The Box

The Market Outside The Box has just returned for it’s fifth edition at Burj Park. It’s on as part of DSF, and the daily market comes complete with live entertainment including music, dance and poetry, a huge selection of food trucks, and pop up cinema. But if it’s just the shopping you’re after, there’s plenty of that too – with more than 120 vendors hosting stalls.

Ripe Market

With the winter season in full swing, Ripe market is back outdoors with two locations in Dubai (plus one in Abu Dhabi) every weekend. At both it’s Zabeel Park and Barsha Pond locations, you can expect to pick up everything from groceries to home interiors. It’s one of the longest-running markets in the city, and it makes for a great family-friendly day out.

The Sunrise Market by The Sum of Us

Every Saturday, The Sum Of Us is serving up a sunrise market from their front doorstep. The morning market plays host to an array of local arts and craft vendors, with Dubai Garden Centre taking the top table alongside other brands. There will also be baked treats from Rise&Dawn Bakehouse and Encounter Coffee, and the super early risers will be able to enjoy a free fitness class before the market at 7am.

Pretty Chic Market

Centrally for fashion and accessories lovers, the Pretty Chic Market pops up at The Westin Mina Seyahi on two Saturday’s a month. You can expect to find a collection of more than 20 independent fashion, accessories and interiors boutiques including Lucy and Laith and Fit ME Active. But it’s about more than just shopping – pick up a picnic for four and enjoy it al fresco – it’s Dhs250.

The Farmer’s Market on the Terrace

Created by the team at Baker and Spice, The Farmer’s Market on the Terrace at Bay Avenue, Business Bay delivers the freshest produce to market-goers every Friday and Saturday. Running from 8am to 1pm, you’ll find around a dozen stalls of fresh fruit and vegetables available to buy at great prices direct from the vendors, who are mostly farmers themselves.
