From indie nights to international DJs and 90s R&B acts to a retro disco…

If you’re ready for dry January to be over (or you broke it weeks ago anyway), we’ve rounded up the best nights out this week. From international acts taking to the stage at Cirque Le Soir, Cavalli and White, to the return of Bongos Bingo and a top indie night at ON42, there’s a top weekend to be had.

Here are 8 big nights out in Dubai this week

Monday: Ying Yang twins at Cirque Le Soir

Atlanta-based rap duo the Ying Yang twins are performing at a special edition of Hip Hop Monday’s at Cirque Le Soir tonight. Expect a high-energy performance of their signature rap anthems, as well as the usual show from the club’s rotating performers.

Tuesday: Ladies’ night at Mahiki

This Polynesian Tiki bar has one of the city’s most popular ladies’ nights in town. It offers bottomless wine and cocktails until 1am, DJs spin a commercial soundtrack until late, and there’s a performance from the Mahiki Honeys too. This week, for their ‘Friends of Mahiki’ event, Dubai brand Pretty Little Thing will showcase their latest beachwear with a fashion show.

Wednesday: DJ Whoo Kid at Cavalli

Cavalli Club is set to welcome DJ Whoo Kid to its ever-popular Rosay night event this Wednesday. A cornerstone in the American Hip Hop industry, Whoo Kid is a DJ, producer, radio host and entrepreneur who has worked with the likes of J. Cole and Tinie Tempah. He’ll be doing a live DJ set this Wednesday, alongside Cavalli resident DJ Jack.

Thursday: Bongos Bingo at ON42

Mixing traditional bingo with impromptu raves, hands-in-the-air anthems and plenty of heckling, this isn’t for the faint hearted. By the end of the night, expect dancing on tables, novelty prizes and crazy costumes. The next installment of Bongos Bingo will drop on Thursday January 25, with a live performance by N Trance. Tickets are Dhs150.

Thursday: DJ Lexlay at Buddha Bar

For one night only, Buddha Bar in Dubai Marina is set to host a boiler room set from DJ Lexlay. The Barcelona born DJ has been making a name for himself in the electronic music scene for more than a decade. Renowned DJ Lexlay has built a name for himself globally, playing in over 50 cities around the world, sharing the stage with the likes of Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Luciano and Marco Carola.

Friday: Ja Rule live at White Dubai

Disturbing Dubai is putting on a special edition of their famed night at White this Friday. The superclub is set to welcome 90s R&B star Ja Rule for a live performance, and there’s a complimentary bar for ladies until 1am.

Friday: Step On at ON42

Original indie night Step On is returning to it’s home at ON42 in Media One Hotel this Friday. It’s a strict indie rock ‘n’ roll music policy, with free entry all night. DJs ME and Rude Larry will be manning the decks, armed with a big bag of the best indie tunes.

Friday: Disco Made Me Do It at Inner City Zoo

A new Disco night is launching this Friday at Inner City Zoo, bringing a soundtrack of old-school ballads and chart toppers from the last thirty years of music to the JBR haunt. There’s free-flowing drinks for the girls from 11pm to 1am, on top of old school jams and disco beats till 3am.
