The Civil Defence has said that the government will cover the cost for those who cannot afford it.

Following a tragic incident in Fujairah recently, HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has instructed that the Civil Defence install central fire alarm systems in all Dubai homes.

General Commander of Civil Defence Major General Jassem Al Marzouqi confirmed that the Civil Defence will immediately carry out the directives of Dubai’s ruler and install the systems in homes across the city.

Major General Al Marzouqi also added that the government will cover the cost for those who cannot afford it.

 

The Civil Defence is keen to improve safety by developing procedures and conditions and adopting latest technologies and best practices, Al Marzouqi added.

In the same statement, the General Commander of Civil Defence also called on Dubai residents to follow the preventative measure and ensure fire alarm systems are installed and working properly in their homes.
