Two new destinations have just been added to the bucket lists of Dubai-based travellers, with the launch of flights to Thessaloniki in Greece and Aqaba in Jordan.

Flydubai will become the first UAE airline to offer direct flights to these destinations. Flights to Thessaloniki will operate three times a week starting June 15, while flights to Aqaba will operate four times a week from June 16.

Thessaloniki is the second-largest city in Greece, with over one million inhabitants. It is a major transportation hub for the country and southeastern Europe.

The city is renowned for its festivals, events and vibrant cultural life and is considered to be Greece’s cultural capital.

The flight time from Dubai is 5 hours and 30 minutes.

Aqaba is located on the Gulf of Aqaba and is Jordan’s major seaport, as well as being an important industrial centre and growing tourist destination.

Home to many luxurious hotels and resorts, visitors can use the city as a base to go diving in the Red Sea, take a day trip to Petra, go camping in the neighbouring Wadi Rum, along with visiting a number of historical and cultural attractions.

The flight time from Dubai is 3 hours and 35 minutes.

Flydubai earlier announced the launch of several new routes for 2018, including Tivat, Krakow, Dubrovnik, Catania, Kutaisi, Qabala and Batumi.
