A collection black and white photos of Sheikh Zayed are on display at the free to enter exhibition

A free to enter exhibition has opened in Dubai showcasing rare images of the Founding Father of the UAE Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The month-long exhibition located at the Municipality Center in Al-Kafaf (near Jafiliya Metro Station), features images of the UAE’s Founding Father from 30 to 60 years ago.

Currently showcasing more than 60 images, a further 40 are set to be presented later on, bringing the total images on display to 100.

In the photos, Sheikh Zayed is pictured at various local and international events, as well as with celebrities and previous Rulers of other emirates.

The touching exhibition will be on for a month at the Al Kifaf Centre. It will then be moved to other municipality centres including Al Manara, Al Twar, and Hatta. The exhibition may also be hosted at other municipality facilities like Dubai Frame and Dubai Safari, the municipality’s Director General said in a statement to Gulf News.

The exhibition, inaugurated by Director General of Dubai Municipality, HE Eng Hussain Nasser Lootah, is the latest in a collection of the Dubai Municipality’s ongoing initiatives in support of the Year of Zayed.

Other projects surrounding the Year of Zayed include the unveiling of a Sheikh Zayed memorial and a Dubai-based citywide scavenger hunt.
