Dubai is fast becoming the mini-break and stopover favourite for the world’s rich and famous.
With so many A-listers (and B-, C- and D-listers) visiting the glittering emirate every day, it can be hard to keep track of who was spotted where.
So in case you were wondering who to keep an eye out for when you’re down at Dubai Mall, we’ve thrown together a list of some of the famous faces in the UAE this week. And with New Year’s involved, trust us, there were plenty…
She was in town to perform at the annual du Arena New Year’s Eve concert, and it’s safe to say ‘Fireworks’ flew when she did. But pop megastar Katy Perry wasn’t just in the UAE to work, she also posted stories to her Instagram out and about in the Abu Dhabi desert.
British boxer Anthony Joshua has been living it up on and off in Dubai since he appeared at the closing festival of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, and it seems he can’t get enough of the city. Over the festive period, he posted this cute snap in one of Dubai’s luxury pools:
American R&B singer Christina Milian, who was famed for her catchy tunes in the early 00s, came to the city for some down time over New Year’s. She’s posted pictures ringing in 2018 watching the fireworks at Jumeirah Al Naseem, as well as heading to the desert for some dune buggy adventures.
The Gogglebox star and I’m a Celebrity winner has been sure to keep her 1.6 million Instagram followers up to date with her family holiday in Dubai. Accompanied by the rest of the Moffat clan, she’s been seen topping up her tan, heading to the theme parks, and ringing in the New Year on JBR.
The Made In Chelsea star and his model girlfriend Emma Connolly are no strangers to Dubai, having holidayed in the city several times over 2017. And as well as soaking up the sun at El Chiringuito on the Palm while here over New Year’s, they’ve also been spotted enjoying dinners at trendy new hotspots Peyote, STK and Barbary.
We’re beginning to think superstar Akon has moved to Dubai. The American singer and rapper has been spotted in so many of the UAE’s super clubs over the latter half of 2017, we’d be surprised if he hasn’t. And who can blame him? As well as performances at Mad on Yas Island and a double bill at White Dubai, Akon made time to post a snap of him being chauffeured around the city in a luxury car.
You might not have heard of singer songwriter Parson James yet, but we’re betting you will do soon. Rising to fame as the voice on Kygo’s Stole The Show, he’s in town to perform for the first time in Dubai at White. But before the show, he’s been seen enjoying dinner with friends at one of our favourite spots, The Maine.
