A brand new location, pop-up bars, street eats, and plenty of boats…

The Dubai International Boat Show – now in its 26th year – drops anchor in Dubai tomorrow,  featuring 845 companies and brands from more than 60 countries.

It’s got a brand new location – the mouth of the Dubai Canal, near Dubai Ladies’ Club, and visitors will be able to see vessels of all shapes and sizes (and budgets), from nifty water toys to epic luxury super yachts. But that’s not all, here are 5 reasons why you should head down there to check it out…

1. See a stunt show

Every day, there will be flyboard stunt shows by international extreme water sport athletes Bo Krook and Manea Al Marzooqi, while top American slackline walker Alex Mason will entertain crowds with his daring balancing acts.

2. Hydrate at a pop-up bar

This year, the Dubai International Boat Show has teamed up with one of Dubai’s trendiest beach clubs, Nikki Beach, who will be hosting a daily pop-up bar for the over 21st complete with a sunset set from their live DJ.

3. Check out some seriously impressive boats

While there’s going to be boats of all sizes (and budgets) at the show, it’s the 20  luxurious super yachts we’re excited to see. They include the 86-metre Chakra and the 72-metre Serenity from Austal.

4. Take part in a paddleboat race

The DXB Paddle Race will see 150 people compete in kayaks, stand up paddle boats and canoes in a 6km and 12km paddle board race around Seahorse Island. The show will also host the Build-A-Boat competition, which is a great option for family-friendly fun for water lovers.

5. Snap a selfie with a supercar

Returning again this year will be the Supercar Promenade, where visitors will have the chance to check out some of the world’s top luxury vehicles.
