And it’s one of our favourites too…

We like keeping an eye on where the Crown Prince is dining, whether it’s at a local burger joint or David Myers new restaurants Bleu Blanc and Basta (he’s been seen at both recently).

And today Sheikh Hamdan has just given another Dubai restaurant the royal seal of approval. And it just so happens it’s one of our favourite homegrown gems too.

The Dubai Royal popped in to Cuisinero Uno, the homegrown tapas bar by rising star chef John Buenaventura for a spot of lunch, and happily posed for a picture with the team.

The  hip new restaurant Cuisinero (pronounced ‘cuisine’ and ‘nero’) Uno is located in the Steigenberger Hotel in Business Bay. It’s headed up by chef John Bueneventura, who is certainly one to watch in the foodie world.

His dishes are inventive and unexpected, and the international tapas served at his urban-cool restaurant are some of the most unique dishes we’ve ever tried. A fake carpaccio is an inventive version replacing the traditionally meat dish with watermelon, creme fraiche, pine nuts and tarragon that’s a must-try if you head down.

Imaginative tapas and a chance to take a selfie with the Crown Prince? We know where we’ll be this weekend…
