Happy hours, ladies nights and gents nights are great and all, but sometimes we feel like a slightly more classy affair – one that involves us eating our bodyweight in cheese. Ok, perhaps classy is the wrong word.
Thankfully, there are many places in Dubai where fromage fans can satisfy their cravings. Here are 8 wine & cheese nights to try in Dubai.
Bistro Des Arts
This little slice of France in Dubai Marina recently launched a Wednesday cheese fest, Une Raclette a la Marina, where you can tuck into two hours of unlimited Raclette cheese (a big drum of cheese used for melting) served alongside a variety of hearty dishes. It’s Dhs159 for food only, and Dhs249 for the house beverage package including red and white grape.

Located in the chic La Ville Hotel & Suites in City Walk, this cool little wine bar offers daily wine and cheese pairings. Available from 4pm to midnight, you’ll pay Dhs85 and get three glasses of wine and the cheese pairing. Grapeskin also has ladies’ night on Wednesdays, with two free glasses of wine alongside a mini cheeseboard, and gents’ night on Tuesdays, with two free glasses of wine or beer alongside a charcuterie platter.

The Powder Room
This relatively new wine bar in DIFC does unlimited cheese and grape nights for Dhs90 per hour. A variety of cheeses from around the world are on offer, as well as fresh bread, salty crackers, mixed fruit, dried nuts and homemade chutneys, as well as cold cuts like beef bresaola and salami.

Every Tuesday, Bazxar in DIFC holds a Cellar ‘n’ Cheddar night, with unlimited grape and cheese over three hours for Dhs175. Splurge on the Dhs349 package and you’ll be upgraded to sparkling (perfect for those special occasions).

Jones the Grocer at Emirates Golf Club
The newest Dubai branch of Jones the Grocer hosts a ‘Cheese, Grape & Jazz’ night every Thursday from 7.30pm to 11pm. For Dhs199, you get a cheese board with unlimited refs and whites for two hours.

This cosy wine bar in the Conrad Dubai has a few tasty offerings, including a “meat the cheese” night on Tuesdays where for Dhs275 per person you get an unlimited selection of cheese, breads, figs, salami, prosciutto, pickles, grapes, fondue and wine. Alternatively, on Mondays you can head along for a sommelier-hosted evening where you can sample four wines paired with different dishes for Dhs149 per person.

Want to take your wine & cheese night to the next level? Try Alpine-themed eatery Publique’s hearty evening brunch. The brunch runs from 8pm to 11pm every night of the week, and costs Dhs295 for a minimum booking of six guests.
