1. Dine for less across some top Dubai restaurants

Running from Sunday April 29 to Saturday May 5, Jumeirah Restaurant Week’s seven-day foodie festival will see almost 40 of Jumeirah’s best-loved restaurants in Dubai offering their signature dishes on three-course set menus (or buffets). Ranging in price from Dhs150 to Dhs350, the menus offer a wide range of options to suit every palate and pocket.

2. Kick off the week with a brand new ladies’ night

Swanky gin bar Hendricks is launching a brand new ladies’ night – and it’s on a Sunday, so you can start your week right. Located in the Four Seasons Resort at Jumeirah Beach, ladies can enjoy three free drinks between 10pm and 1am from a selection of cocktails, house wine and bubbly, served up alongside complimentary canapes.

3. Test your knowledge with a quiz night

Get your brain picked at a quiz night every Monday at Perry & Blackwelder’s. Taking a light-hearted look at the week’s news and testing your knowledge on music, sport, politics and everything else, the five-round quiz is free to enter, and plenty of P&B prizes are up for grabs.

4. Soak up the sun with a chilled out beach day

The Tap House has just kicked off its beach access passes, and it’s a great wallet-friendly offer to take advantage of. Access to the Palm side beach with a complimentary towel will set you back a minimum spend of Dhs100, and the casual gastro-pub will give a 20 per cent discount on any food purchased. The pub grub menu includes dishes such as lobster toastie with signature Tap House sauce, 9 hour slow cooked orange glazed back ribs and truffled mushroom fettuccini.

5. See some local live music

Tuesdays at Seven Sisters, Dubai’s newest terrace lounge, will be dedicated to live music with local singer Layla Kardan. Bag a spot on their canal-view terrace to hear a live set of soulful and sultry hits. It’s follwed by an eclectic mix of vocal house, chill out tunes and club classics by local artist, DJ Sonya.

6. Kickstart the day with a new breakfast menu

There’s a brand new breakfast menu to tuck into in DIFC as Intersect by Lexus launches its business breakfast. Dishes start from Dhs30 and include highlights such as egg benedict, granola and shakshouka.

7. Be amazed by a Broadway illusion show

Broadway’s highest selling show of its kind, The Illusionists is set to return to Dubai with a brand new show this week. Running for seven days from May 1 to 7 at the Madinat Theatre, the show brings together seven of the most incredible illusionists on earth, each showcasing their jaw-dropping acts.

8. Party with What’s On at the first ever Nightlife Awards

Taking place this Wednesday, we’ll be revealing the top movers and shakers from across the industry at the first ever What’s On Nightlife Awards.
