Make the car wash come to you

Between all the dust and heat, keeping your car clean in Dubai is like a second job onto itself. No one wants to spend hours queuing up at the local car wash waiting for their turn but, alas, it’s what’s necessary if you don’t want your ride to end up looking like something out of a Mad Max film.

With Keno you can finally make the car wash come to you, saving precious time and effort without ever having to get up from your desk at work.

And we’re talking more than just the surface wash you can pay for in any shopping mall carpark. Keno offers a range of services from a Dhs40 body wash all the way up to an interior disinfecting for Dhs95 designed to get rid of all those nasty stains you’ve accrued from weeks of neglect.

You can even have them put a ceramic coating on your car for a cool Dhs2,000, although that requires your vehicle to be taken to the company’s service centre as the procedure is a little more involved.

How does it work?

With the app downloaded, you start by filling in your car’s details including make, model and plate number. You then can choose from the list of available services (and whether you want a wash or detailing) and plot in the location of where your car is parked. Don’t forget to include important info such as street/villa number (or the space number if it’s in a carpark) so that Keno can easily track down your car.

Once you hit confirm, Keno will dispatch one of its cleaning crew to make sure your ride looks spick and span the next time you get into it. Similar to apps like Uber, you’ll get an estimate of how long it will be until Keno will be able to get to your car and you can even book a cleaning in advance when you know you won’t be needing to drive around.

Is this one of the most Dubai apps we’ve seen in a while? Sure, but there’s no denying that it fills a much-needed niche for those that don’t have the time (or are too lazy) to get out the hose and wash their car themselves.

Keno is free (with In-App Purchases) and available now for iOS and Android smartphones.
