1. Catch the IPL final

Dubai Sports City has been hosting a Cricket Fan Park showing all the live Indian Premier League matches over the last two weeks, and it’s the final tonight. As well as showing the live IPL match, there will be music, beverages, food trucks and stalls serving a selection of Asian and continental dishes, including a traditional chaat station, plus a kids’ area and gaming zone to keep the whole family entertained. 2. Work up a sweat with a free fitness day

Gold’s Gym is hosting a an open-day event for members and non-members this Sunday. The class is specially designed to suit the nature of those fasting, focusing on slow and low-intensity exercise including Yoga, Body Balance, Pilates that ensures relaxation and body flexibility.

3. Workout with two fun fitness classes

4. Check out a Ramadan festival on ice

Celebrate the spirit of togetherness with the ‘Ramadan Lights Fest’ at Dubai Ice Rink this Holy Month. Running from Tuesday May 22 to Tuesday June 12, the festival offers various activities and experiences for the whole family, including an arts and crafts zone and football area.

6. Head to an inspirational talk by an Emirati poet

The latest in Flow’s series of inspirational talks takes place on Wednesday May 30. As part of the Ramadan series, Emirati spoken-word poet Afra Atiq – the first poet to win the 2017 ADMAF Creativity Award, as well as a number of poetry slams and competitions – will perform a poetry recital alongside her talk, focusing on finding inner peace and following your dreams.

7. Check out some Ramadan themed art

Mall of the Emirates is showcasing the works of emerging photographers this Ramadan with two unique exhibitions. First up, the Art from the Heart exhibition, located in the mall’s Luxury Wing on Level 1, will display Ramadan-themed, stylised photographs taken by three emerging professional photographers.
