1. Cool off at a water park with a resident rate

This Ramadan, Wild Wadi Waterpark is reintroducing its Ramadan rates, which means both adults and children can enter the waterpark for a cheaper price. UAE residents will be able to make a splash at the park for Dhs169, while little ones under 1.1 metres can enter at the discounted rate of Dhs89. All soft drinks are included in the fee.

2. Tuck into a summer lunch

Demoiselle by Galvin has launched a value lunch menu for the summer. Starting with a soup of the day, it’s followed by a menu of light summer dishes including smoked beef pancetta with crème fraiche, shallots & rich gruyere cheese and the Demoiselle club sandwich. It’s priced at Dhs53, and includes a hot or cold drink of your choice.

Monday June 11

3. Experience an iftar trail in Old Dubai

Appreciate the spirit of Ramadan as the sun sets on Dubai Creek with this three-hour photo tour. At the end, you can break your fast with locals and workers who gather in blankers in the streets with the help from your photo guides, you’ll be able to take some compelling snapshots of these moments.

4. Soak up the sun with a pool day

Anantara on The Palm has three huge lagoon pools that wrap around its rooms, as well as an oceanfront, 50-metre infinity pool. Get the use of these, as well as beach access, for Dhs265 per person. If you’re making a day of it, there’s also a swim-up bar with a daily happy hour offering selected drinks at Dhs25.

5. Check out a new escape game in JBR

There’s a brand new game to check out on the Plaza Level of JBR’s Bahar called Countdown Challenge. There’s five games in total, with four currently open and the last one due to be unveiled soon. Each has a different objective, designed to test your intelligence, logic and patience. Players will be given a brief, locked in the room, and then have one hour to complete the game.

6. Walk in the rain without getting wet

Created by experimental art studio Random International, Rain Room is an immersive experience of continuous rainfall – but thanks to motion sensors, the rain pauses as you walk through the room, making it so that you don’t ever actually get wet. Walking through a downpour without getting drenched is a novelty in any environment, but in the scorching heat of the desert, it’s even more refreshing.

7. Fill up with Wellington week

Celebrating one of their most popular dishes, and a Gordon Ramsay favourite, Bread Street Kitchen will be paying homage to the British classic but with a special twist during Beef Wellington Week from June 11 to 17. The unique surf and turf Wellington comprises of lobster and beef Wellington, served with truffle mash potato, samphire, roasted carrots, topped off with lobster red wine jus, and is priced at Dhs275 per person or Dhs520 to share.

8. Pamper yourself with a celeb-favoured facial
