Whether you’re looking for fresh fish or niche fashion…

Looking to bag a bargain this summer? Dubai’s al fresco markets might be on a summer holiday, but there are still some to check out in doors. From summer pop-ups to weekly events, whether it’s food, fashion or furnishings, there are plenty of places to get your hands on some unique pieces.

Here are four indoor, and one outdoor night market to check out in Dubai.

Ripe Market

Arguably Dubai’s most popular market, Ripe has gone indoors for the summer season, and you can catch it inside the Times Square Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road every Saturday through the hotter months from 9am to 5pm. There’s a big focus on fashion and homewares, and you can pick up some beautiful unique pieces for a fraction of the price of a fancy store.

Arte

Described as the ‘makers market’, Arte is a roaming Friday market with a focus on all things home made. Over summer, it takes shape at various locations, selling hand made art fashion and craft pieces from 150 contemporary and highly original makers and designers. Entrance to the events is free, and all the locations offer free parking. The next one is Friday July 6 at Mercato Shopping Mall on Jumeirah Beach Road.

Waterfront Market

If it’s fresh fish you’re after, look no further than a trip to Waterfront Market. The state-of-the-art market fresh produce market replaced the iconic Deira fish market in 2017, fusing the old traditional souk-style market with a new modern facility. You can get pretty much any fresh food there, but it’s most known for the fresh fish – which is open 24 hours a day.

The Boutique

While an indoor version of ‘Market on the Beach’ might not be running on JBR this summer, you can get your market-fix from the upscale indoor shopping destination, The Boutique. Showcasing a host of vendors under one roof, there’s a collection of one-off fashion, accessories and interiors available. The market is open daily from 9am to 11pm.
