And if you’re looking to trade in your Netflix series binge-watching for a bigger screen, we’ve rounded up all the big releases in cinemas across the city this month.

Here are our top picks of films in cinemas in Dubai this June.

Deadpool 2

Ryan Reynolds returns for a second installment of action-packed blockbuster, Deadpool 2 which is out this week. This time around, Deadpool is joining forces with fellow mutants Bedlam, Shatterstar and Domino — to protect a boy from the all-powerful Cable.

A Wrinkle In Time

In this Disney adaptation of a classic novel by the same name, follow an all-star cast on a journey to space. Starring Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling, the story follows Meg, who is sent to a new dimension with her brother and best friend on the quest to find her missing scientist father.

Kings

Halle Berry and Daniel Craig star in Kings, a gut-wrenching crime drama out later this month. Set in Los Angeles in 1992, the story follows Millie, a single foster mother of eight, and her fight to keep her children safe through ever-growing tensions of the civil unrest.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

In the latest installment of the Jurrasic World series, Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) is tasked with relocating 14 dinosaur species, including his former pet velociraptor Blue, from a volcanic island before it explodes. It’s got an all-star cast supporting Pratt, including Bryce Dallas Howard and Jeff Goldblum, and the sci-fi adventure delivers explosive action in spades.

From June 14: The Incredibles 2

Despite the fact that it’s been a decade since the release of the first film, the Parr family are picking up where the debut installment left off. Taking on the Underminder and the Screen Slaver – a new techno-savvy evil, it’s an action-packed adventure that even sees baby Jack-Jack, and his new found super-powers chipping in.

From June 14: TAG

Who doesn’t remember a playground game of tag? Well, this group of adult friends never stopped playing it. Having played the same game of tag every day for the last 30 years, this cute comedy tells the story of how this childhood game keeps these friends together. Best of all, it’s based on a true story.

From June 14: Adrift

Once again based on a true story, this film follows a young couple, who’s chance encounter leads them on the adventure of a lifetime, as they face one of the most deadly hurricanes in history. It’s a thrilling, if harrowing watch, from the director of Everest.

From June 21: Ocean’s 8

This heist film proves that any job Danny Ocean and his crime crew can pull off, his ex-con sister Debbie (Sandra Bullock) can do with a lot less manpower. Leading a group of seven other talented women, Debbie sets her sights on New York’s illustrious Met Gala and a diamond necklace worth $150 million.
