From rappers and jazz stars to ladies’ nights and museums, there’s something for everyone this week…

Welcome to a new week and for most of us, it’s only a four day working week (yay!). So as we countdown to Thursday we’ve got live acts, ladies’ nights, spa days and the opening of the region’s first (and world’s biggest) museum of illusions.

1. See a rap star perform live

UK rapper and songwriter Ramz is coming to Dubai for a special performance at Business Bay superclub 1 OAK Dubai. The South London singer will perform at 1 OAK Nation, the club’s weekly ladies’ night, tonight.

2. Treat yourself to a value mums lunch

Tuesday September 11

5. See a soul star perform live

Q’s Bar & Lounge, the intimate live music venue at Palazzo Versace is set to welcome soul artist Rogelio Douglas, Jr. as it’s next resident performer from September 11. Coming from his residency at Herb Alpert’s Vibrato Jazz Club in Los Angeles, Rogelio will perform three sets of his smooth soul and jazz sounds every Tuesday to Friday from 9pm to 1am, and on Saturdays from 8pm to midnight.

6. Tuck into a new meat market night

You might know Ramusake for its sellout weekly Wednesday ladies’ night, but there’s now a new reason to check out the Japanese hotspot, which has just launched a new weekly Robata night. Cuts of meat range from Dhs120 to Dhs620 depending on the cut and size which each come with a choice of sauce and variety of sides to accompany the meat, including salad, rice, and mash.

7. Pamper yourself with a spa day

8. Check out a museum of illusions

Love trickery and illusion? Then you’ll want to visit the world’s biggest Museum of Illusions, which is opening at Al Seef this week. The museum will boast 80 interactive exhibits, including a vortex tunnel, rotating cylinder and an Ames room, where guests will shrink or grow depending on their position. Looks like the perfect place to snap a kooky new profile pic.
