Music, foodie festivals, free coffee and the return of GITEX…

We’re heading into the first week of October, and with Dubai cooling down nicely, we’re planning as many outdoor activities as we can. But it’s not just al fresco adventures to get involved in this week, there’s also music from rap stars and Latino legends, the return of a huge electronics show, and dinner deals at some top restaurants.

Here are 8 things to do in Dubai this week.

Sunday September 30

1. Party hard with an American rap star

American rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine must be enjoying his first trip to perform in Dubai, so much so that not only did he perform at Base twice over the weekend, he’s also set to headline at 1OAK tonight. It’s ladies’ night too, so girls can take advantage of unlimited drinks all night.

1OAK, JW Marriott Marquis, Business Bay, 10pm to 3am, Sunday September 30. Tel: (052) 881 8888. 1oak-dubai.com

2. Dine for less at some top restaurants

Atlantis Restaurant Week is in full swing, with set menus available at Dhs150 or Dhs350 from September 27 to October 6 at the resort. Lebanese Ayamna, Italian Ronda Locatelli and Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen are serving up a unique set menu for Dhs150. Fine dining restaurants Seafire Steakhouse, Nobu and underwater restaurant Ossiano offer menus at Dhs350.

Over the last fifty years he has sold more than 300 million records, produced 82 albums and recorded hits in more than 12 languages.
